School age children are discovering their interests and sense of self, we will cultivate this journey and encourage making smart choices and healthy habits that will last a life time. Arwo Learning Center’s before- and after-school care program balances recreation and education. Whenever school is out, our program is there to encourage a child’s desire for new challenges and opportunities that celebrate their expanding world.
Our programs are available for school-age children to bridge the time between school and a parent’s work schedule, as well as to provide full-time child care during school breaks and summer vacation. We make summer even more fun with exciting themes, and activities!
Developing a love of learning!
At this stage of childhood education, children need opportunities to create things, explore acting and drama, discover new books, and construct imaginary worlds with recycled materials. In the North America Room, your child will be presented with opportunities for fun, socializing and learning.
- Encourage and assist the children in completing daily homework assignments and assists them in studying for tests and exam
- Foster teamwork, helping to build a child’s confidence, self-esteem, character, and social skills
- Through activities such reading, cooking, music, and art, your child will explore themes like animals and the environment, science and experiments, world cultures, fitness, cultural events and more
Physical Activity
Children in our school-age classes are provided with an opportunity for at least 60 minutes of vigorous activity, whether unstructured play or organized games and sports.
